Tsubaki added a new series to our line-up of Plastic Modular Chains for curved conveyance to meet customer needs.

The features of Plastic Modular Chains, such as easy maintenance with partial repair and tab guide attachments, allow for efficient conveyance in various curved layouts at 90/180 degrees and S-curves.

Easy maintenance during chain assembly/disassembly and partial repair

Adopts a plug which is easy to handle to prevent pins to come out. Maintenance is easier compared to metal mesh belts/flat belts as this Plastic Modular Chain can be connected/disconnected with just a single flat-head screwdriver.

Only 5 steps for disconnecting, and 4 steps for connecting.

Insert a small flat-head screwdriver between the chain and plug-clip on the side of the chain.

Remove the plug by levering it out. Be careful not to let the plug jump at this time.

Remove the plug on the opposite side as in the steps 1 and 2.

Insert the bar inside the pin hole on the side of the chain, then push out the pin.

Grip the pin coming out from the other end, then disconnect the sections of the chains.

Connection

Connect the sections of the chain by pulling them towards each other and inserting the pin from one of the ends.

Then use a plug to block the pin insertion section.

At this point, while noting the direction of the plug, insert the plug until it makes a click sound.

Double check that the plug is placed correctly.

This Plastic Modular Chain uses advanced low friction/wear resistant (ALF) series with tabs to prevent floating, which reduces the coefficient of dynamic friction with rails. Also, less sliding resistance enables a reduction in acting load and energy saving. Furthermore, it minimizes wear debris in dry conditions.
