Cam Clutch Boxes  Economical Operation  1

■Boiler Fan (FDF)

Steam generated by boilers is used for a variety of purposes depending on the equipment.

Surplus steam generated from these boilers can be used to drive the blower, reducing the power consumption of the motor.

Reduction in motor power consumption by taking advantage of excess steam.

No motor power is required to drive the blower (FDF) while the boiler is in operation.

Boiler Fan (FDF)

(1) At the start of operation of the boiler, the blower is driven by a motor. At this time, Cam Clutch B engages. During this time, Cam Clutch A overruns.

(2) Cam Clutch A engages when the turbine begins to drive the blower by surplus steam. At this time, Cam Clutch B overruns and the power of motor is cut off.

eco effect

When driven by a motor: 300kW x 24 hours x 360 days x JPY10 / kw = JPY25.92 million / year
